Funding Research Library
Developed for funding research and management, the Nonprofit Development Center resource library has become the core resource center in East Texas for all aspects of nonprofit management.
The library offers:
700 Titles
700 titles addressing nonprofit administration and management issues are available, including: fundraising, board governance, legal, development, human resources, marketing, volunteerism, philanthropy and technology. There are no fees and most of the publications are available to check out.
Research Computers
Research computers give library patrons direct access to the Foundation Directory Online Professional and GuideStar.
Cooperating Collection with the Foundation Center in New York
The Center is certified as a Cooperating Collection with the Foundation Center in New York, giving area nonprofits access to cutting edge technology for funding research.

LIBRARY PROGRAMS:
Circuit Rider Program:
The Center brings the funding research resources to 14 counties in East Texas upon request. The program is designed to teach nonprofits how to research donors and funding sources. It features templates and samples of searches with information about online tools. Topics are tailored to the needs of the host community, and include:- Prospect Research – how to research possible donors to nonprofit organizations, with an empasis on free and low cost methods
- Online Funding and Fundraising – resources of the Foundation Center, getting online donations, new media and trends
- Proposal Budgets – costs projections, how to cover overhead expenses, types of budgets
